Sorry for the noobish question, but I recently purchased the above model. Upon first receiving it, I am mostly pleased, but the wheels started turning to figure out how I can get more juice out of this lappy.

Outside of adding a more meatier SSD (replacing the 500GB WD Scorpio hybrid) and the 1xDIMM slot that can take a 4GB DIMM to upgrade to 6GB total (laptop has 2GB DDR3 soldered on the board, and 1x2GB in the one dimm slot), I was wondering if it is a fool's errand to try to find out if there is a way to upgrade the CPU from the i5-3317U that is in there now to something more meatier.

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot (i.e., maybe in the Acer forum), but I tried searching and didnt find this direct question asked.

Let me know, and thanks in advance.

I would expect the CPU to be soldered (not upgradable), but I haven't been able to find any information about it.

The i5-3317U will run up to 2.4GHz (for two cores) and there's nothing weak about that.
