Can anyone point me to a Trial Download of this software?
It seems Acronis took it down and it was replaced with True Image 2009. But 2009 Does not offer Disk cloning in the Trial Version.
The sites ive seen seem a bit "untrustworthy"
    thanks

well, I'm not sure what a BSOD is...

I've only used Migrate with an external HDD dock from Vantec, and also an external HDD case....

Not sure how to do it any other way.

A BSOD is shorthand for "Blue Screen of Death"
Its when windows encouters a VERY Serious error and is forced to close to prevent further damage to the Hardware or Operating system
When you did your upgrade. Did you Do it from windows. Or did you boot from the media and cloned it that way.

no, I cloned my OS from windows to an external HDD enclosure using Migrate (just followed the steps - did everything in manual ) super easy

then after it was done, told me to turn off my computer.

I unplugged everything, took battery out, unscrewed the HDD compartment on the laptop - popped out the drive, and swapped it for the larger one from the external closure.... screwed the case back up etc...

all is the same , cept more space.
