I removed a Hitachi Travelstar hard drive from an ancient 2002 Dell Inspirion 8100 notebook in attempt to recover the files from the drive. I've been told that an external enclosure or adapter would be the cheapest and quickest way to do that but I cant seem to find the right one to fit. I'm brand new to working on my own computer so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to NBR!
You need a 2.5" IDE external enclosure.
