My notebooks ssd is failed probably due to controller error
is that possible to recover my data from that by using one of the case/converter boxes which convert it to sata and/or external uab storage???

If the SSD doesn't 'boot' because the controller is dead it doesn't matter what enclosure/connection you try to retrieve data with.

So? No way to recover data

With SSD the cells are either full or less than full. If the controller goes bad there's no telling what could happen to any charged cells. If they are discharged completely then there is nothing to recover. This is why it is extra important to back up SSD data frequently, frequently, frequently, often, often, often.
Edit: Or if they are over charged. Same thing.Last edited: Dec 18, 2014 -
The outlook is not good. Just make sure that the port on the laptop is still good (probably not an issue) by trying another drive and at least see if it's detected in BIOS. Also, check to see if this problematic SSD is detected in BIOS at all. If not, then more than likely the controller is dead.

Is there a way to cgange this "controller" ??

Yeah, the way to change the controller (if it is the actual problem, of course) is to send it to a data recovery company to do it properly.
DIY = failure to retrieve any data.
Note that even with a new controller, the SSD won't be usable again: it will be a temporary solution simply to retrieve the data from it. (But you will still get the privilege of paying full price for the parts and service).
Adata mx11 250gb dead/ is it possible to recover any data?
