I recently picked up a Bluetooth dongle for my Dell 700m so that I can sync with my Dell Axim, cell phone, headsets, etc. and have found so far that it is annoying and rather scary having the usb dongle sticking out. Half the time I forget to plug it in and the other I'm worried the dongle will get knocked off when I take the computer off my desk.
So my question is can I upgrade my 700m to put in internal bluetooth. Are there any mini pci cards that I can put into my 700m? Also, would it be possible to put in a bluetooth module in place of my modem?
I'm open to all sorts of suggestions because my main criteria for a new laptop was BT, but ended up getting the 700m because it was just so cheap I couldn't pass it up.
Thanks for your help!

How about a pcmcia bluetooth card?

Not any in particular. You could post a new thread and ask other's experience with pcmia card.
I thought about getting a card as mine doesn't have bluetooth integrated and the usb dongle is not as 'integrated' as if you were to use a pcmia bluetooth card. Its more expensive but i think its worth it if you don't want to have extra accesory sticking out of the laptop. -

MSI makes a mini-pci wifi/bluetooth card.
toshibadirect.com has a bluetooth card in the form of an SD card as well for about $70 -
haha this is old but there is an internal bluetooth card for the 700m

Where could I get that internal card?

Try Dell or Ebay.
