    What laptop do you have?

The intel turbo memory modules (ITM) use the internal mini pcie interface.

The X305 should have two internal mini pcie ports. One is going to be occupied by the wireless card, so you should have one open.
If you have an open port, you should be able to install a ITM.

However please note that you need a laptop compatible with the ITM, to use it.
Reason being the card doesnt just clip in. You need to screw it down with the two small screw holes at the one end of the card.

Otherwise you should be able to use it, check what your laptop has, if it has clips which can hold the card down that will work too.

    You have a modem installed?
Youre best bet is to google some of the numbers on that card. You may find out exactly what is is from their. I never heard of mini pcie modems, but I guess its possible to have a modem on that interface.

Your system is pretty new, so you will want a ITM 2Gb or 4Gb card.
I dont have the number, but a quick google search will find it.

The ITM does not plug into any wires. Those wires are cables for antenna's, say for bluetooth, or a tv tuner.
The ITM is basically a memory card which fits inside of your laptop.
You can install files on it to help speed up startup and application loading.
The 1st generation served no purpose, because they were very slow. The second generation 2 and 4gb modules are slightly better than the first generation, but they arent really that good. I havent heard any glory reviews of the card. I wouldnt even bother with it, but some people will think that turbo means fast, so you can either look up some reviews of the ITM here on nbr, or you can fall into the marketing gimmicks intel has.
