My laptop should be shipping in another week or so and I want to order more memory for it by the time it comes. However, since I don't have any manuals or anything yet, I'm not sure as to what type of memory to order. I saw someone on another thread post that the V4000T takes DDR2-533, 200-pin SO-DIMMS. I also called Compaq to find out prior to finding this post and the guy said I need PC4300. Which do I really need? Is there a difference between PC4200 and PC 4300? If someone can let me know I'd appreciate it. I'd hate to buy the wrong thing and deal with the hassle of returning it.

The information is available on HP's site.

PC2-4200 (aka DDR2-533) is what you need.
I'm running 2x1GB of PC2-4200 on my v4000t. I bought the OCZ ones for its lifetime warranty. Crucial and others should offer the same thing. And they are pretty much all the same. So whichever is the cheapest on Newegg. -
I got these off of new egg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231042. They work great. I highly recomend them.
