I want add memory to my Dell Vostro 1700. I have 2GB and want to upgrade to 4 GB.
Has anyone had BAD or GREAT results with any memory for this machine?
Thanks:

The Vostro 1700 is capable of handling 4gb(2x2gb ddr2-667 memory)
You shouldn't have any problems -
Just purchase memory which has a lifetime warranty and you will be good.
You can pick up a 4gb kit from newegg for like $75.
I recommend picking them up before this coming weekend, cause as of June 1st, Newegg is going to start charging sales tax, and in new york state, its like 10%, so pick it up before this act goes in place.

Cause new york state sucks. Check out the thread I made:

Others say its real, so now we are going to have to pay more for the same thing.
