    Adding RAM for my notebook - need help in choosing...

    those are the specs of the RAM i'm interested in buying... but i dont knw much abt notebook RAM.. so how do i knw if this is right one for a (my) notebook?? can someone pls help me out?? :eek:

    No, its for Desktop, 240pin. For notebook u need 200pin DIMM.

    PC5300/PC6400 DDR2 667/800mhz 200pin RAM to be exact is what you need

    Or might be easier to Identify as PC5300 SODIMM or PC6400 SODIMM covers the pin thing and as identified that way sometimes when 200 pin is not. SO= "small outline"= Notebook?

    G.Skill is a very good brand though, so if you can find a 4GB (2x 2GB) PC-5300/PC-5400 SODIMM dual channel kit at a decent price, they're certainly worth buying.

    I've got 4GB G.Skill in my old HP laptop, and 4GB G.Skill PQ Series PC-6400 in one of my desktop rigs :cool:
