Hi I'm new here. Mi name is Alfred and I am the owner of a Dell XPS m 1210.

Actually, I am very interested in adding a Blu ray drive to my laptop, but I'm not sure if it will play smoothly and what size/model matches my computer.

I add the specs of the machine to see if it is going to handle well the BluRay drive:

    Intel T5600 @ 1.83GHz
    GeForce Go 7400
    4 GB Ram
    Hitachi 7k320 250 GB 7200rpm

    Thanks in advance!

Technically, the dual-core CPU and dedicated graphics should be able to handle Blu-ray,but unfortunately you will probably experience some choppy video playback. Also, I'm not too sure Blu-ray on a 12" WXGA screen will be as mindblowing as it is should be.

Actually I think his system will be able to play blu-ray disks. He has a speedy harddrive and a powerful enough cpu to play the movies. Whether the go 7400 is powerful enough, I am not sure, but you shouldnt have much of a problem playing the video.

I know I can play blu-ray videos on my dell E1505 with a T5300 and a ati x1400. However the X1400 is a more powerful graphics card.

Here are the specs of your gpu:

What about the space for the drive? Any slim internal Bluray drive would fit?

Any slimiline blu-ray drive will work, you just need to get one which matches the color of your notebook, either gray, silver or black.

All of the blu0ray drives use the same interface, so all you need to do is pull the adaptor off of the current drive and install it on the new drive
