ok i know this is going to sound crazy but im working on a project and im going to need some way of getting another pci-e port in my laptop. i know its has a pci-e bus but i want to know if there is any way i could get into the bus and add a port.

WHat do you have would make it a bit easier to start lol. I had a compaq that actually had EVERYTHING in place except the connector. But unfortunatly HP prevents unauthorized cards from working.
Im planning to internalize a hub on my ASUS to add a tv tuner and bluetooth. -
Sorry to be so negative, but if you don't already know the white paper concept to acheive this, this is probably not going to be a task you will be able to tackle by yourself.

Go read the white paper for your chipset, then find all the traces for PCI-E, then connect it to a connector. It sounds simple, but it's very hard in reality.

Also.. you have to write your own bios to program the pci-e traces that's connected to the connector.

The products at the bottom could be helpful for you. EIther as an extender, or a mini pcie to desktop pciex1, which you can solder links to.
From the PCB, you can solder a second port on
Simple trace, label and duplicate and you should be able to effectively run a second pcie device.
They may share the same bus, but it shouldnt be much of a problem
