Does anyone know whether I can add a webcam to a Dell Latitude e6430 that did not ship with one? If so, what parts would I need and where could I find them?
Thanks.

It appears that model supports one, so you should technically be able to purchase an internal camera and wire it, per StormJumper's post. Routing the cables and installing it however would involve opening the case, which will probably void any warranty. It would be simpler to purchase a USB webcam, albeit being a little impractical depending on how you look at it.

i did same thing with my dell m 6600
1) go to dell website and find service manual (SM) for your " Dell Latitude e6430 "
2)dispatch bezel
3) you will see what kind of parts you need webcam module and cable /or webcam module only
4) keep in mind that you will need to buy "bezel" with camera hole too.
PS^ you probably lose warranty
P.P.S. if you decided to make this mod, be sure that you understand all parts of the process. -

But I have come across similar laptop model where the motherboard didn't have the webcam port plug in. So first you should see if you can take your case apart and look for a internal plug for your webcam if your going that route and doing all this dis-assembly will void any warranty you have on it. But you should check will Dell site using your Service Tag to see what options they had for webcam or if your motherboard came with a webcam pluging otherwise if it doesn't then your left with external webcam.

^ what model was that?
i had an e6220 with a mic and the mic was basically a webcam + mic board without the webcam part and using the same cable. although i spose the cable could be different even tho the plug was the same, i didn't actually upgrade it.
