CAn you buy additional batteries seperately anywhere after purchasing them?
I'm not really sure how additional batteries work, are they attached to the machine as extra bulk? Or do you carry them around in a bag or something and whenever your primary batteries run out you just pop in the spares?
Does anyone know?

I don't know, but Dell's a big company. It makes sense that you would. Then again, I imagine a great deal of the production goes to the builders.

You can buy additional batteries from dell.com or wait until they show up on ebay or somewhere. They aren't attached to the machine, you just carry it as a backup for your primary battery. I bought another 6-cell for my m1330, though I haven't received the laptop yet. If you look up your service tag or on the invoice you got, find the manfacturer part number for the battery and see if they have it online.

I am also looking around for a 6 cell battery for my Dell Inspiron 1420. I've checked Dell's website and haven't been able to find battery options for the 1420. Anyone looking to sell theirs?
