Hi,
I have shortlisted 2 laptops. Just in case, specification details of both are in the URL below:

Can someone please help me understand the advantage of a 4MB L2 Cache over a 2MB L2 Cache. Exactly what gets effected due to the extra 2MB L2 cache? Does it have anything to do with the FSB?
Will appreciate your help.
Thanks.

With the way C2D works about a 10% increase in performance! Not really related to FSB. I have AMD with 1600Mhz FSB, but you can't compare apples and oranges! I could explain better but space!

Thanks. Can you share some URL's which can help me get an answer to the post and really understand the impact.

Thanks Jalf. Those really are some excellent URL's and I agree; They really so explain more than I ever wanted to know about cache
Thank you so much.

Fantastic explanation on how cache works. I remember learning this in University. Only if my professor (with the help of textbook) could've explained it so well, I wouldn't have needed to read it again.
Thanks
