Can anyone suggest.... I am interested To upgrade my Dell Latitude D620 Laptop, which originally has Intel (R) Core Duo T5500 – 1.66ghz, I am interested to purchase Intel Core Duo Mobile Processor T2600 2.16GHz 2MB CPU, however I would like to buy even higher performance processor, but I am not sure will they be compatible with my laptop…Maybe someone out there can suggest me which processors will be compatible with my Dell Latitude D620? Please let me know. Thank you.

You do not need to use huge text :p

Your D620 uses Socket M processors, Since you have a T5500, the only processors that are worth upgrading to are the T7200, T7400 and T7600.
Upgrading to the T2600 is actually a downgrade, a rather large one too. The T2600 like the T2400, T2500 and T2700 are based on the core duo architecture, which is about 30% slower per clock than the core 2 duo processors.
Upgrading to a T7400 will give you the best bang for the buck upgrade

You can see my upgrade performance information here on my E1505:

T7200, Napa Platform, MEROM 4M core, 2000MHz, Dual core, 65nm
T7400, Napa Platform, MEROM 4M core, 2166MHz, Dual core, 65nm
T7600, Napa Platform, MEROM 4M core, 2333MHz, Dual core, 65nm
T7600G, Napa Platform, MEROM 4M core, 2333MHz, Dual core, 65nm, Unlocked multiplier,

The T7200 can be had for about $140, and the T7400 can be had for about $160.
The T7600 can be had for about $300 and the T7600G is like a $500 cpu.
I would get the T7400, as I did. It was a great upgrade from the T5300 I had.

u shld try use a different search word rather than keep searchin "socket m".

"intel core 2 duo mobile" search can also come out alot.
