    Hi,
I am thinking of upgrading my 1366x768 screen in my Acer aspire E1-571 to 1920x1080, I couldn't find any information regarding this on line, currently I have an AUO B156XW02 v6 screen with 40 Pin connector, intended panel is LP 156WF1-TLF3. I am not sure about LVDS "Signal Interface Class", AUO has 1Ch and the other one has 2Ch. Could you please guide how should I overcome this and if you find any incompatibilities, let me know. Thanks in advance. I have attached link of comparison of two panels.

Biggest incompatibility is in the cable. You're laptop's LCD cable is most likely single channel LVDS, which will only support up to 1366x768.

To get a a dual channel cable, you'll need to hunt down the part number of the cable that the fullHD version of your laptop cable uses. If your laptop model never shipped with a fullHD version, then you're probably out of luck.

Thanks for the response, yes, it's the biggest stumbling block, however, I'll keeping looking for some alternative solution, how about a cable like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LVDS-CABL...t-for-15-6inch-19inch-lcd-panel-/170912642004

Problem here is if your system didn't have that setup no amount of customization will do it. Your better off getting a system that has the 1920x1080 already or option to go to 1920x1080 display.

Thanks StormJumper, I will leave my laptop as it is and look for a FHD system in the future, it's good for another 2-3 years and why experiment with a perfectly working laptop, thank you guys for the help.
