Hi,
Hope this is the correct forum.
I have my laptop connected to a Samsung 32" LCD TV which I use as my monitor. Previously the ATI control panel has given me a resolution option of around 1300 (ish) X 768 which matches the resolution of the display perfectly.
This option is no longer there so I'm stuck with less than perfect images on screen as the Samsung is obviously trying to scale the resolution to fit.
I havn't changed any hardware, the screen is connected by HDMI cable and I have the latest available drivers installed.
Does anyone have any suggestions as this is starting to annoy me!![]()
Thanks

In the ATI control panel there should be an advanced option to force a screen resoloution
-
Theres not (well not one that I can find), it just displays 'CCC-basic' and there are no tabs for any advanced settings?
I tried going into control panel/hardware etc etc but none of them have the resolution I need -
You could try looking in the 'Start' / 'All Programs' menu and expanding the ATI catalyst control center/panel. The option for advanced should be there.
alternativly whilst CCC is open can you click on View and change to advanced view there? -
Unfortunatley none of those give me the option for the advanced menu
I did a bit of research and it appears the Samsung TV's are temperamental at best with PC connected via HDMI.
I've just reverted to using VGA to the samsung and switched the HDMI over to my monitor, at least I can get the correct resolution that way!
Thanks for the replys
Advice- where has my screen resolution gone??
