What are good aftermarket or universal batteries for laptops? The kind that you can plug in after your main battery quits and runs for 46 more hours.
Or am I best off just buying another HP 8-cell Battery for Pavilion dv8000 Notebook?
Pros?
Cons?

I personally would not buy a battery from anyone other than HP.

Err for 48 hours your going to need a sealed lead acid battery like the ones you get in cars, There are quite a few around that get about 3-8 hours depending on how much electricty your laptop uses.
-
There are only CONS as far as I know. 46 hours? I'd say this is the whole life of the battery not the one-charge battery life.
-
I'd get another 8cell. You could also consider options like undervolting to extend battery life

i think he meant 4-6 hours. i recommend buying original batts. usually the generic type have less capacities and will wear out faster

Okay then, has anyone here ever use or try an aftermarket universal battery? What are some companies?
I'm just researching now, leaning toward going with an extra 8 cell HP battery. -
