So, I'm quite new to the upgrading hardware scene, recently my 660m just died and it basically wouldn't let me turn my laptop on unless I took it out (which I did) so I'm now wondering is it as simple to just buy a new card and plug it in? And also which card is the best to upgrade, with a low budget?

The card's which is the best which you can plug and play is a 680M.. Otherwise, its a AMD 7970M which might need a new heatsink.. AMD is cheaper but the 680M is more reliable and less likely to break..
