Hello, I just received my laptop with the 32MB ATI X200 and it has 128 MB of Ram Allocated towards it when I got it and I want to lower that down to 32MB so I can focus on typing and get the most ram I need for file moving and everything, how do I go about doing this? Thank you for your time.

Also, on the V5000, where can I dim down the screen?

Reboot the computer and enter the BIOS. You need to look for the "Video RAM" and change the value to 32MB.

You'll need to know how to enter the BIOS. Check the user manual. Usually pressing the F2 key, ESC Key or the DEL Key will get you into the bios.

As far as the dimming of the monitor, look for the "FN" key and a key with a "SUN" sign (located usually by one of the "F" keys. Depress the "FN" key and the corresponding "F" key repeatedly until the desired level of brightness is obtained.
