    Just curious, besides the i7-2820QM and lower models, is there a non-extreme core version of that processor? Also, what kind of processors can we expect from Intel after these quad cores (i7-2630QM, i7-2720QM and etc)? I was just hoping to see if you guys would know what's coming out in the market in the near future?

    No, there is no real alternative on par with that level of performance, I supposed you could dabble into the world of QS or ES CPUs but it's best not to do so unless you really know what you're doing.

    Next up, you can expect Ivy Bridge CPUs which will just be a revision of Sandy Bridge using the same basic architecture. See a lot of Ivy Bridge threads for more info.
