    Hi...
Well first let me introduce myself... my name is Tanya and im 19 years old. [20 next month...]...
I have a strong desktop PC especially for games, and about 2 weeks ago i boughts the Dell Studio 1537 P8400 ATI laptop.

The main reason i bought it is that now i can take in to anywhere i want, and not be always closed in my room.
I didnt bought it for games... but more for internet & simple stuff like that...[because as i wrote, i already have a desktop pc for games...]...

Yesterday, i found on the internet a news regarding that soon we will have the 4870X2 in laptops and i feel depressed.
I dont know even if i would probably play games in a 4870X2 laptop, then more the thought that i have it inside.

Its pretty hard to catch up.. your buying somthing today and tomorrow there a brand new thing...

Someone somtimes felt the same? :\

Sorry if its in the wrong forum, couldnt find the off-topic.

hy tanya. yes, that's the computer-business.

i once couldn't buy new mtron ssd's because of some problems with my credit-card. next day, the new version was out and was less than half the price of the old ones. so waiting a day can make a big difference.

on the other hand, you bought something you liked at the time. so take it as that and don't look at the new stuff. just be aware that whatever you buy will be old crap soon :)

btw, nice spelling of the name. around here, it's only tanja, never tanya.

We are all in the same boat. I bought my laptop and a week later the refresh platform came out  . You cannot be on par with technology. No matter what you do. Not buying today and buying tomorrow has the same effect.

Agreed. If you bought a laptop and it works well and does what you want, you're quite lucky already! :)

Umm. That is how it is with technology...constantly changing.

So, today you may get the notebook you want..and tomorrow there will always be something better.

Why not just enjoy what you have? After all, you purchased a notebook, because that is what you wanted at the time!

    The Shoulda..Coulda..Woulda's are too stressful...

Relax...and if you are having doubts on purchasing...the best thing to do is wait, til you just *know*!

Unlikely that the 4870X2 would appear in a 15 inch Studio and likely to be for high end gaming laptops only - probably a 17" or 18".

The new Studio 1555 will have the 4570 which is more in line with the form factor and price level.

    ;) Yup.

Originating poster: Your other option is, if your not happy with it...and w/in your 21 days date of invoice, simply return it for a refund!

And, wait until you find exactly *what you want*.

If you didn't buy your laptop for gaming and it comes out a brand new laptop that is for gaming, i don't understand why you feel like you do? As you say, you already have a desktop PC which is strong enough, so no, i don't feel you on this one when you're explaining it that way you do!

And i don't understand why other's here do it either, did they missread the text that you didn't game on your laptop and that you already have a strong desktop? :p

Oh well, i've would've understod if you played games on the laptop, but as you're not, i don't. :)
