The AMD Turion Neo x2 L625 is a 1.6 GHz dual core manufactured in 65nm.
Usually paired with ATI Mobility HD 3200 IGP.

Intels Core i3 330m is a dual core 2.13 GHz manufactured in 32nm i think.
Also got hyperthreading so it will show up as 4 cores in Windows.
Unsure if it contains Intel HD graphics.

I would take the Intel Core i3 330M because its new technology.
What is the main thing you will use your notebook for?

The i3 will be MUCH faster than the Neo, and it will run cooler.

I would get the core i3... it is faster and cooler for sure... also the intel HD graphics should beat the ATI 3200...

Using it for college, travel, home use, maybe light gaming and movie watching. What's funny is that computers with similar prices have either the intel or amd processor on bestbuy. Around that 580 price range.

why are the prices so similar at Bestbuy? Why are people getting ripped off?

ps- how does the rm-70 compare to the t4400?

Amd one has better value and intel i3 has better speed. AMD is generally cheaper, but intel excels in performance and thermal characteristics. Both processor will be much more than enough for college, travel, home use, maybe light gaming and movie watching

Still would go for the Intel Core i3 330M.

AMDs only "good" mobile prosessors are called AMD Athlon II / Turion II and soon also Phenom II.
And they usually include a ATI Mobility HD 4650 / 4670 gpu.

RM-74 would run way toastier than the intel T4400... like DEalgeson said , core i3 would be the best and coolest and have longest battery life...
