    Warning
I'm purely looking for a second opinion or someone to smack some sense into me.

I've been having this strange urge to buy another Hitachi HD for my laptop making a total of 2 320gb HD. I currently have a WD 250gb HD in bay 2, a LaCie 500gb external, and a Seagate 100gb external so I don't need space haha. I use my laptop mainly as a Media center and for gaming with the occasionally web browsing. Do you guys think I should buy another Hitachi? Or am I just being young and wasting cash haha?

Keep your money, it not worth spending an extra $70 for a little more space. Be smart with your money, you shouldnt always buy something everytime something comes out.

The 7K320 is a great drive by all means, but its not worth it paying $70 to upgrade from 570gb to 640gb.
Save your money for the 750gb drives which will come in a few months.

I highly doubt you need anymore hard drive space, unless you always are away from your desk and have no access to your external hard drives. And if you still have space on your internal HD, why bother?

Forgive me Father for I have sinned :(. I obviously have a really bad shopping habit...I bought a WD Scorpio Black....It was a really good deal and I just couldn't pass it up haha. This is almost as bad as when I bought a T8300 and 8600m GT and a week later bought a T9300 and a 9600m GT :(...SOMEONE TAKE AWAY MY MONEY HAHA.

Unless you have a very huge collection of media files such as movies and DVD rips then I guess I can understand that you need a huge amount of space.

That isn't helping me with my spending prolem haha...your an enabler!

I thought the hitachi was one of the best (advice I got from a user here) until I did my research and later found out the Scorpio black was better. I don't have lots of money (I'm only an E-3 in the Navy) I'm sure you make more than me haha, I just find really good deals.

I think what he meant was instead of buying all these 7200rpm drives that are roughly similar in specs, be patient, save up and buy something that will blow your mind (i.e. SSD).
