EDIT: Fuond it here. It is Penryn, with 1mb L2 cache less than a T8100 and .1GHz less. What is the point of it?

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake

Who knows, maybe the T6xxx series is replacing the T5xxx series for Intel's new budget-midrange processors.
-
My guess is the T6xxx going to be replacing the T5xxx line, the Centrino 2 equivelant.

Its been out for a while. I guess 2 months. Its been talked of on the Discussion Board at Quanta's site. Its basically like a Pentium Dual Core based on the Penryn Core, effectively named Penryn-2M. Not sure if it is a PDC, 'cause there is a T4200 as well.
I think it was 2GHz; 2MB L2 Cache; 800MHz FSB; 45nm; SSE4.1; 35W; No VT.
I think it will replace the T5800....
Its already available with the Acer Aspire 6930G. -
Here is Intel's page on the T6400:
http://ark.intel.com/cpu.aspx?groupID=40479&code=t6400
2.0 GHz, 2MB cache, 800Mhz FSB, 45nm design rules, supports VT,
TDP 35 Watts.
I was wrong. The T6400 does not support VT (Virtualization). -
Yeah just got one of these in my girlfriend's Toshiba. It's just a T5800 with a slightly higher FSB (800Mhz)
Another new C2D: What is a T6400?
