Anyone have any recommendations for decent performance and reasonably priced* external 'slim' DVD Burners?

Been reading some reviews but haven't found a lot of info...

Or is it better to just got one of the larger size external DVD burners for my laptop? If so, any recommendations??

    Thanks,

    Mark

*Reasonable price is hard to define but probably from $1 - $200 US...... ;)

You can of course buy a case at Centrix Intl and put any drive in you want. I would suggest a NEC or LG drive. The case is usb powered so no need to lug around an adapter.

    Excellent idea, ZaZ!

    Didn't know about Centrix before....

    ;)

Although not sure if I won't need an AC adapter...I've found with the slim CD-RW/DVD drive I have now that usually have needed the AC otherwise get error message about overloaded USB port or something like that...

I actually used one with my T42 since ThinkPad burners were then expensive options and I prefered to leave the modular battery in the bay. I never had an issue with it. I had a NEC 6500 drive in it.
