    i got $700-something for the 300gb too.

there's no way it'll cost that much in the US though.

I am a little confused here. I converted directly the prices in the netshop from NOK to $ and got the results i posted. If i used the prices the link said, from SEK to $ i got a different result. Like you said. And i checked if sweclockers got their conversion from SEK to NOK right, and it was correct.

    What is wrong here

EDIT: No they are correct. I checked again and the prices sweclockers gave and what i posted is correct. :)

Yeah, you're righ, sorry, I messed up, hehe, shame on me :D

I was waiting on these drives for quite a while... I'm going to get one anyway I guess, but they seem indeed expensive. We'll see what the prices in Europe will be in the end, maybe it's cheaper to get it from the states, the USD is quite weak atm...

    Reliability wise? maybe.

    Performance wise? no.

There's a lot of discussion in this thread about what's the fastest SATA II drive.

I opened this topic on 06-10-2010 and today I installed Windows 7 Ultimate to my first SSD: Intel G3 160GB.

Up until now I was using 7200RPM traditional drives in my laptop. Now I am speechless!!!

Nice score, did you ran the cpu tweaks? seems its not crippled with your chipset.

I don't think it's beneficial on that chipset. I'd reverse it.

It is beneficial. Especially the 4K random R/W drops sharply.
