Hi irata. ASM is the direct successor to Alumina. It's a good thermal paste, but not as good as AS5.

curing time is a common thing in artic silver products. but there are more disavantages, it's eletrical conductive and it can't stand sub zero temps.
imo not worth it at all. there are many good and better premium thermal paste that don't require curing time and non electrical conductive and they cost a reasonable price.
I don't like to make publicity, but I use MX-2 a lot. one of the best ones and it's cheap. imo it's not worth it to waste $20 to just get 0.1ºC less.

I find it cheaper than mx-2 at my local shop.
    Which one should I get?

... I wasn't aware that people do reviews of thermal compounds. What is there to review besides thermal conductivity, the curing time, and the colour of the packaging?

How well it stacks up against other thermal compounds. How hard it is to apply. How easy it is to find.

Apparently, according to this one random eBay page, ASM was once known as T-C Grease 0098. Reviewed here.

That said, I don't know how accurate the review is, since AS5 is ranked the same as ASM (A+).

Mine arrived a couple of hours ago. Application is super easy, much easier than MX-3. My maximum temperature in my usual Furmark trial is a 1C higher (87C against 86C), but since it requires a ridiculous cure time I'll where it gets me.
