My laptop gets very hot all over when I plug in the power charger, but stays cool when its running on battery. Is there anyway I can turn my fan speed to high (it only used 1 fan) and then set it back to automatic when I'm done charging?

The I8Kfangui it pretty much what you're looking for. It allows you to control the fan on Inspiron/Latitude/Precision laptops, either manually or automatically based on temperatures. It can't automatically change speed based on charging, but you could tell it to force the fans to high speed when you begin charging, and then set it back to regular (non-I8K) control afterwards.

I tried installing the x64 version if it, says fanio driver couldnt be installed and so it cancelled installation =./

Theres a few 64bit workarounds for it.
If you cant get it to work, i can make one -
Couldn't find anything that worked, it kept saying driver couldn't install. If you would be so kind to make one, that would be great
.
Precision M4400 btw, if you need specs. -
Try these solutions first: http://cdiefer.proboards29.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=3&page=1
If that doesnt work, i can make a astiv bypass (like i used to do for RMclock and rivatuner before they had signed drivers).
Ill try it when i get home
Any way to boost fan speed temporarily?
