The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This may be a little off topic, but was anybody else disappointed with Apple's WWDC this year? They didn't even announce an update to core 2 duo for the Macbook Pro. :(

    They really can't, Intel has asked companies not to talk until Aug. 28th about any Merom updates. Apple probably won't announce anything until Sept.

    I wasn't disappointed at all, I'm looking forward to all the new features in OS X, even if some are minor, but I will welcome them all and I already know I'll be using some of those features.

    Plus Apple didn't reveal all of the features as they kept some 'close to vest' in fear that Microsoft might take the idea especially since Microsoft has pretty much given themselves an indefinite release date for Vista (no real release date, just released when they feel like its ready)

    I saw how microsoft copied apple on a lot of things...I don't blame apple for hiding things until release.

    I was quite pleased with the WWDC myself... I definitely see one of the Mac Pro's in my future.

    As to the updated Macbook Pro, a lot of rumours are suggesting something may be announced at Apple Expo Paris next month.
