I think I'm going to buy one, with the additional DC power plug. Does anyone have any experience with it? It's for my W870CU.

I am using the nc2000 for 15.6" it is not quet fitting the way i am suppose to put it so i am using it a little lower, under the video card and HDD , but if your laptop fits perfectly all over the tiny holes you will get the max benefit from it .
btw: from the nc 2000 i am getting like 3-8C less heat on my laptop. :) My laptop is Acer aspire 5740G ( i5-430m , ati 5650 ,WDC 640GB/5400 )

I have one, and it works great. I've used it for my E4300, E6400, and E6500, it is a bit wider than the 4300, about the same as the 6400, and smaller than the 6500

Just to be clear - you don't HAVE to plug it via adapter right, generally, it stays powered just fine via usb port?

Though... the note that it might need to be plugged in is a bit strange to me. Isn't the computer powering it likely to be strained when you need to be cooling it? (FYI, I'm considering getting one to work with my Envy 17)
