I've googled, searched AMD and Acer's sites looking for reviews, benchmarks or any useful information on the AMD L510 processor and have come up empty. It's like it has disappeared?

Does anyone have an opinion on this processor or know where I can find information about it?

I am trying to consider if the low-cost (and discontinued?) Acer AS5538-1350 is worth buying or not.

    Thanks

Looks like its based on the AMD Neo idea, with a low voltage AMD Athlon 64 x2 and a ATI Mobility HD 3200.
Should handle normal usage quite nicely, and some casual gaming.
Also think it will handle 1080p movie playback once you get either Splash Media Player lite or Media Player Classic - Home Cinema.

thanks. so it's a decent cheap laptop that will be fine as long as you don't expect too much out of it and get it for a good price?

Yeah, and it can do 1080p on Youtube with latest ATI catalyst package and Flash 10.1 too. :)
