When multiple different products are given in the description of one item with only one configuration/price, the listed price doesn't mean anything. You tell the seller what you want, settle a price, then you put an order, the seller changes the price and you pay.

Most of those retail sellers don't keep much stock on their own so things change quickly and updating the listing on Taobao isn't worth the effort for them.

Thx Mr.Koala, though that makes the language barrier even more difficult to overcome

don't expect it to end up being more cost effective than ordering something on ebay unless its a rare card.

i order a lot from taobao. then they ship to my bhiner warhouse. then i receive from warehouse. or you buy from warehouse at their rates and its a bit safer ( bhiner). One day i baught a wireless charger directly from a sellor, i received 4months later :))) didnt expect that one, thats why i was always using an warehouse agent.
Price mentionned is for the maxwell. for pascal is min 4000 for dm3 laptop. a 1070 mxm version is 4800-5000=+-700$. Price is flexible if you negociate. use a google traductor with android so its faster to translate, use simple words cauze if they notice your stranger, nego is harder ;)

i paid a 1070n (sli version) with 3 months warranty for 705$ if i remembered, then shipping 20$ DHL. the picture is in my p377sma selling thread

Has anyone have experience with "Captain Tianjin"? this seller is offering a standard mxm b 1060 for 435.05 https://world.taobao.com/item/54365...spm=a312a.7700824.w4004-16027557344.24.JsUmrO and I want to go for it but the checkout procedure has me a little confused

How does the whole bhiner warehouse thing work?

That isn't a popular reseller as far as I can see. Didn't notice any red flags through a few minutes of Googling though.
They are just one of the many Taobao agents. You tell them what you want, they take care of everything until the product arrives at your house. They get a cut.
Who was handling the shipping and how could it be that slow?

Thank you so much! I went ahead and signed up on bhiner sadly the seller is out of stock thinking about settling for a 980m for almost 100 less instead

I really wish AMD had credible offerings in this area

Are you fitting the 980M into the Zbook in your sig?

It's your call, but I think the power/heat is a bit risky for something built with only MXM-A in mind.

A reasonable concern but yes that is my intention but I'm building out additional cooling by using the left over space in the DVD drive bay for a 2nd fan and additional copper heatsinks all in all I estimate that I can build out an additional 100-150w tdp worth of cooling on top of the 100w built in cooling system both will hook up to an mxm-b heatsink mount I have already acquired and performed desoldering on

Don't get your hopes up my friend, that card doesn't have a mobile binned gpu so your not seeing the mobile premium if vega comes to mxm expect to pay big bucks

Sapphire (a bit surprised, haven't seen one in a long time (6970m ES)), still 150W. Waiting for the DELL WX 7100 to hit the shelves and of course Vega.

There is a golden rule of taobao which should be transfered to the first post: "If the price is too low to be true compared even to other taobao deals then it IS'NT true".
I sent 6 inquiries to the top 6 lowest price for the CPU I wanted to buy and all those mf's replied that item is not in stock (so much for the 99+ left). Sometimes sellers aren't even online so you have to ask twice.

So never send money until you actually had a reply that seller has item and ready to sell. At some point I disgust this way of dealing the business. No responsibility for the price stamps and other listed info? Is it BAZAR?
