I'm looking to get the new evo SSD and heard they would be released early August. I've seen a couple of them pop up on amazon from third party sellers for around $100 over MSRP, but have yet to see any at MSRP. Anybody have any insider information on when these will be available for purchase? On ShopBLT they had the expected arrival date to be in stock yesterday (8/8/2013) and bhphotovideo has the expected date to be in stock as 8/20. Anybody know when we'll be able to get these?

edit: The EVO drives are now available for pre-order from amazon at MSRP and will ship out Wednesday 8/14.

Just like the links you provided, any answer you get here will not mean anything until they actually are in stock for your purchase area.

Patience is the name of the game right now... ;)

Just to update my own thread for anybody following it, newegg just added the EVO drives to their site and they have a release date set for 8/14. Amazon still doesn't have the product listed (they only have it at outrageous prices through third party sellers like Cloudfire linked to) which is where I'm looking to buy it from since I have free two day shipping with prime.

Prices on Newegg are listed as the same between the EVO and now obsolete 840. That's a no brainer. :D

Good heads-up for folks! Magician 4.2 should be released then also or be very short-in-trail.
