Hi, I'm building myself a laptop with a Asus Z84JP barebone. It comes with a 7700 which is OK, but I would like to know where I can purchase a DX10 card for a socket MXM II laptop

    Thanks
    Shifty

I believe Dell sells used gaming graphics cards on their parts and upgrades website-like SLI 8700m and 7900gs for decent prices...this may help

Dell uses proprietary formats. As do many others that even use MXM.
Sager should have MXM gpu`s, and xoticpc and powernotebooks should have some also...As I said, give them a call, couldn`t hurt to ask.

I emailed iced tea back in dec 07 regarding mxm3 cards for my J84, only problem is that the x1900 he has is rather pricey for me to get here to canada. Last night i did find an X1800xt mxm3 on ebay for 150 bux but that isn't enough performance increase for the money, i'm also wondering if i ever do swap out the vid card whether my hdmi will still work.

I"m really looking for the 8800 series becasue i've been told they are in mxm 3 format
