The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy 2 sticks of 512 MB RAM or 1-2 sticks of 1 GB RAM from stores like compusa or circuitcity of best buy...w/o paying online???...for a fairly reasonable price??...i can't really order online cuz my parents don't want to..and i don't have a credit card..so if anyone knew of some good prices...i'm open to all suggestions or places that have them for good prices :D :budget: :decision:

    well u see...there is no fry's near my house...im in NY...and i don't think there is a fry's in NY..wen i went 2 san francisco...i went 2 fry's there...it's a pretty nice store...but i can't really get it here...so any other places??

    like, there's a j&r music world -- lot's of computer parts

    i mean, i'm sure there are quite a few comp parts vendors, large and small on the island and in the city
