    Anyone tried an aftermarket battery made by ICAN?

    Yes, first they're all made in China. Second, when it comes to batteries, even though they're greatly overpriced, buying OEM is your best assurance of quality.

    If you buy it via any other fashion it's a gamble since there's no way of knowing how its put together; and are really no name brands out there with reputations that support them.

    An ebay battery may work just as advertised without any issue or it may not. Good luck getting your warranty honored should it fail.

    Like Krane said, the only reliable batteries are OEM batteries. Yes, they're more expensive, but they also work nearly 100% of the time. And if they don't, you have the OEM warranty for your laptop/battery.

    Imagine how the OEM will think when you basically tell them that you stuck an unknown chemical compound (3rd party battery) into your computer and now the battery is either bulging, or exploding.
