Anyone tried upgrading an ASUS X555u laptop screen?

I have an ASUS x555u laptop who's screen I broke. The original screen is a 720 TN panel. On the ASUS website my model also comes in 1080p full hd. On laptopscreen.com I have the option of buying both matte and glossy 720 and 1080p panels. They all use a 30-pin connector which is what my original screen used and what the LVDS cable has as well. https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/ASUS/X555U~SERIES

I also looked at the part number of my original display and it is the innolux n156bge-e42 rev. c1. I can't see any part number on the LVDS cable, at least not on the end that connects to the screen,

If you need the part number for that I guess I can open up the bottom part of my laptop to check.

I looked everywhere I could for a full hd lvds cable for the ASUS x555u but couldn't find anything. I'm guessing that anything in the X555 series should be compatible, I just can't find anything about LVDS cables.

Hopefully someone else here can help me out. Thanks.

You may not have to change the cable, your 30 pin eDP cable might work with FHD screen as well, it works in Acer & Lenovo laptops(have done the conversion) but can not confirm for your model as I don't own that model. As your model has been released with FHD screen, I am sure the cable is capable of handling 2lanes as well but the risk is yours and if you want to wait for someone else to confirm, please do so.

I managed to open the botton part of the laptop and it is indeed an eDP connector. The part number is X555UA-1A EDP CABLE, LUXSHARE-ICT, 1422-025N0AS 581601307911 LT.

Also has a QR code. That contains the number portion of the part number.

Not sure whether it is a dual lane eDP cable.
