Anyone try an LCD swap on HP dv2700t or dv6700t?

After browsing the forums and asking questions about what laptop to get, the HP dv series notebooks peaked my interest. The only problem is the very low resolutions of the 14.1" and 15.4" LCDs.

Has anyone tried to swap the LCDs in either of these HP's with a 1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050 resolution LCD?

Probably a lot of custom work due to differences in connectors, but curious to see if anyone has made an attempt.

get a Dell or a Lenovo, seriously it's not worth the effort to do it.

Dell lets you configure it with higher resolution screen , so does Lenovo.

Hmm, I hadn't looked into the Lenovo when researching my next lappy. The Dell and Lenovo are a bit more then I wanted to spend, but may be my only options.

    Thanks for the reply.
