The DC port pin from the laptop broke off and is stuck in the AC adapter. I need to power on (trying to find a battery) so that I can back up the data and send it to ASUS for repair.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

It would probably be easier to buy an external case for your hard drive, and back it up that way.

Simply take out the HDD and use an external USB enclosure or use the drive bare with a SATA to USB adaptor to get your data off.

    Good luck.
