Anyone know of any mods or products designed to fill an empty battery bay? I've got a Dell E1705 with a recalled battery. Honestly, I very, very, very rarely use the laptop without a sustainable AC source, so the battery is not very important to me in the first place. My mind was just wandering and thought "Gee, I could fit a couple HDDs in there for RAID" or "Hmm, a more aggressive cooling system..." Just curious if there are any like minds, mods, or products out there.

    Silly Putty.

You'd have a hard time putting anything useful in there because you'd have to get a new hole in your case to run cords etc to the mobo....maybe an external harddrive but I don't know what you could use for an enclosure because no enclosures would fit in that hole...And you still have the problem of where all the cords go.
