Are 1.8" drives the same as their 2.5" cousins or are they different.

Comparing two models of the same drive...

    1.8" Crucial C300 256gb

    2.5" Crucial C300 256gb

I've searched the manufacturer sites, and I can't find anything that says they are different, aside from the obvious form factor, voltage, and micro sata connector. They should both have the same 34nm NAND and same number of die/channels/etc right?

I'm considering buying one of the used 1.8" in a 2.5" adapter. Is there a reason not to get a 1.8" drive in a 2.5" adapter?

    They should be identical.
