    Are ATi Mobility Radeon HD 2600 and X2600

    . . . the same or different? I'm about to purchase an HP 8510p, configured with Window XP Pro. In looking at the laptops offered at a site that offers either Vista Business or XP Pro, I noticed that the nomenclature on the gpu for each card is different. The Vista configuration states that the card is an ATi Mobility Radeon HD 2600 512MB Semi-shared. The XPP configuration uses the ATi Mobility Radeon HD X2600 512MB Semi-shared. Does anyone know what the difference between these two cards is, if any? Thanks! :)

    There is no "X2600" actually, only "HD 2600". It is a mistake if you see it as X2600. ATI dropped the "X" prefix.
