I got a new laptop, and sold the HDD (since I put an SSD in there) but now I need to send it back because the fan is broken :/

Is it OK to buy another (like new, 3-4 power-on hours same as the original had) and send it back with that drive inside?

I'm within 30 days so entitled to a replacement/refund rather than a refurb

    Thanks

@laptopnoob678 I suggest you contact their support department without mentioning the machine's serial number. Also, it may be easier and faster to replace the fan yourself.
