Are free-fall sensors that important in laptop drives?

I just ordered a MSI Wind and I want to upgrade the drive to a Scorpio Black, but the ones with free-fall sensors aren't out yet. Are these very important for normal laptop usage? I don't anticipate dropping it a lot, but I will wait if they're worth it.

It is advised by the admins and mods to open a new thread rather than using the search option..:)
