I've used many USB-interfaced tv tuners in the past; usually disappointing due to lagging.

Now that I got a laptop, I'd love to be able to carry around my PS2-slimand use it on the lappy screen; well I guess its more Video-capture than public tv tuning.

How much stuff could you possibly have on a PSP? Wouldn't a much more cost effective solution be to put those 4gb of movies on the PSP onto your laptop?

Nah it's not that, it's that I'm just in very bad need of some sleep. I thought you said PSP slim, so I was thinking you were playing movies off it onto a bigger screen.

    oh well.

Get an express card TV tuner, those really work the best AFAIK.

So the express card interface performs better than firewire? Well it'll definitely be more mobile. Can it take a S-video, composite, or component (now that would be nice)...?

bump, seems the express cards are not video capturing. Still looking for recommendations.

With a dual-core, well I feel the effect of this being processed?

Or, because its using my computer's processing power, should I find it more effective than the usual decoder chip in such equipment?

I truthfully do not know the answer to that question. I do not even know if that is a good card, TV tuners/capture cards are not my area of expertise. I was just showing you in the right direction.
