    Are there any hdmi input adapters?

    For those that don't know, the alienware m17x r3 has a hdmi in and hdmi out port. The hdmi in port is nifty for plugging stuff like consoles in and having it show up on the laptop display.

    I do know that there are only a handful of laptops with such native features. I tried a google search buy I found nothing. So, are there any express card things you can buy or any USB adapters that allow hdmi input capabilities? Or is this something where you need to mod the display connections?

    Mod the display connections? To make them run in reverse? That's not in the slightest bit possible.

    All video cards, and Intel chipsets have have purposeful functionality to output video, to record you need separate card plugged in through a system bus.

    Yes there are HDMI input expresscard adapters. You didn't search very hard ;)
