Well i really love my Dell XPSM1330 and i was wondering if buying the Nividia Geforce 8400M GS 128mbvram motherboard and the Core 2 Duo T9500 along with a new heatsink for the motherboard as my intel based chipset board uses a different heatsink would be a good upgrade for my xps m1330.

    i currenty have

Core 2 Duo T6400 along with 3gb DDR2 ram @ 677MHz and 320gb harddrive and was wondering if these would be great upgrades to improve gaming performance for games such as Company of Heros and Test Drive Unlimited 1 for the pc

The 8400M motherboard will give you a small boost in GPU performance (though I don't actually know if it will be sufficient to play said games smoothly), but you'd be subjecting yourself to the Nvidia BGA issue, and you don't want that.

The CPU upgrade probably won't help much if at all. If you are looking for more CPU and/or GPU power, I'd seriously consider getting a new laptop; even the cheapest current laptops with IB/HD4000 are faster in CPU and GPU power than an upgraded M1330.

You would see a small gain in every tasks by upgrading the CPU to the T9500, but I stress "small gain". As far as gaming goes, Commander Wolf hit it on the head; you'd be better off investing in a new system than investing in new components for your current Dell.
