    Are these notebook temps safe?

    Firstly, I apologize if created this thread in the wrong section, this seemed the most appropriate.

    Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping me out.

    I am the proud owner of Sager NP2096 which is less than two years old.


    Can somebody please tell me what the safe/dangerous operating temperatures (in Celsius) would be for the CPU and GPU?

    I have the Nvidia 9600M GT, and the Core 2 Dou P9500 2.53GHz

    I'm running Prime95 Blend right now on my P9500, 100% load at 87C is this too hot?

    Hot = yes. Could use a little cleaning, changing paste and undervolt :)

    Yeah, you would get even higher temps if you were testing with small FFTs.
    Try undervolt first, if you are not comfortable with opening up your laptop.
