This is my first laptop, and I just wanted to make sure these temps are okay. It does get a little warm (it's an HP dv9700t). [IMG]

Yeah I would say you have nothing to worry about. :)

I would like my HD to be more in the 40 C range, but you are still EASILY in a safe zone. :D

    Hope this helps!

    diablo85,

There is no way those temps are correct. Outside of running your system in a refrigerator, it is impossible for your system to run cooler than room temperature.

I have a quick question, hate to thread jack but...

When I open the CPUID HW Monitor I don't have a GPU temp. Is it because I have an integrated graphics card?

    end thread jack.

Yes, (X3100 i am guessing?) and also an IGP wouldn't reach temps that are anywhere near where its considered dangerous or worrying.

    T61 doesnt come with X1400...you either have a 8400GS or X3100, or you dont have a T61...~.~

hehe, I was just looking the specs of the T60 ... :p It doesn't detect the temps because older ATi cards dont go too well with temp monitors. Very annoying indeed (ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 in my notebook). There really aren't anyways around it.

Also, the X1400 is dedicated not IGP.

These temp are actually really good, except maybe one of the HDDs? But that HDD temp isn't that bad either.

Those are low temps under load, I also saw your earlier posts which had extremely low temps. Are you running it at stock config or have you modified anything?

Theres no reason to doubt those figures, but I wonder whether your sensors are running correctly...

Yeah.. my hard drive got up to 55C when I was viewing HD content today. It is starting to worry me since it's brand new. It is 7200 RPM Seagate.
